JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION	:	electrical commissioning engineer
EMPLOYMENT	:	Contract
CONTRACT pERIOD	:	2 years + 1 year
TENTATIVE START DATE	:	tba
WORK LOCATION	:	KUALA LUMPUR, malaysia

Electrical Commissioning Engineer must be qualified to the appropriate engineering discipline with a recognised degree or equivalent and knowledge of commissioning and engineering design processes. He must have at least 12 years’ experience in his discipline on commissioning of offshore platforms and FPSO would be an advantage, both in the fabrication yards and at least 6 year’s offshore experience. Have a knowledge and experience of commissioning engineering and commissioning certification systems, commissioning and handover procedures. He must have the ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and communicate with discipline engineers in the development of procedures, practices and strategies. In-depth knowledge of principles / theory of Electrical  Systems up to 6.6 kv.

Responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate HSSE leadership and help to coach individuals working in the project
• Manage the identification of electrical system and sub system battery limits and the breakdown into Mechanical Completion (MC) packages.
• Preparation of pre-commissioning procedures for onshore.
• Preparation of commissioning procedures for onshore and offshore inclusive of handover packs.
• Preparation of start-up procedures and method statements.
• Attend appropriate design reviews, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, rotating equipment test runs and other testing and acceptance activities as required.
• Liaise with engineering team to ensure that discipline engineering requirements are included in the commissioning procedures.
• Ensure that commissioning spare parts and consumables are identified and procured in time for commissioning activities.
• Monitor construction/completion activities and pre commissioning to ensure compliance with commissioning expectations.
• Provide supervision and guidance during the commissioning of discipline related activities.

• Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office & Project)
• Possess own transportation and willing to travel and temporary based at outstation if required

• Good and strong command in interpretation of all technical, structural steelwork and metal work construction drawings.

Also need to manage MC team in developing MC check sheet and ensure submission based on comm.

- PriorityDegree in Engineering or Science. 

- Min 8 years working experience in offshore O&G especially in Testing and commissioning activities. Familiar with Completion Management system (CMS)

2.Discipline Commissioning Engineer – Mechanical / Piping / Electrical / InstrumentationTo manage discipline activity in delivering of T&C activity such as development of procedures, schedule, progress reporting and ITR/check sheet submission in line with schedule and budget ( discipline - Mechanical static and rotating, piping, instrument and electrical ).

- Knowledge in completion management system is advantageDegree in Engineering or Science.

- Min 5years working experience in offshore O&G especially in Testing and commissioning activities.

3.Discipline Mechanical Completion  Engineer - Mechanical / Piping / Electrical / InstrumentationTo manage discipline activity in delivering of MC activity such as development of ITR/check sheet and manage  submission in line with Commissioning priority and schedule

- Degree in Engineering or Science.

- Min 5years working experience in offshore O&G especially in QA / QC and T&C
